The childcare enrollment lottery is now closed for 2026
WonderLab Early Learning is a licensed childcare center that will serve 35-45 toddlers and preschoolers.
It will offer play-based, experiential learning with a STEAM-focused curriculum and options for full-day, year-round care to align with the needs of working families. Children will also benefit from daily access to the museum, outdoor learning and play spaces, and the facility’s downtown and riverfront location.

Operating Hours
The center will operate on a year-round, extended day schedule.
Standard tuition – 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Extended day 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Base Tuition Schedule for the 2026-2027 School Year
Families will be offered tuition on a sliding scale with income verification. We will be offering tuition support in partnership with CCCAP as well.

The WonderLab is located in the previous Carlton Education Building on The Powerhouse campus.
To access, turn at at 12th Street and Camino Del Rio, the same entrance for the Durango Fire Station. Drive around to the right of the fire station to access WonderLab drop off and The Powerhouse exhibit gallery.
