CAMP REGISTRATION COSTS
$350/week – Non Members
$315/week – Members (Family, Family Plus, and Partner Memberships only)

NEW LOCATION! We are thrilled to announce that Summer Camp Discovery will be moving to the Animas High School Campus for all camps starting June 8th. All pick up and drop off of campers will be at Animas High School, unless campers are participating in before/aftercare and a few select camps (see below for more information)

BEFORE/AFTERCARE
Campers with before and aftercare will be dropped off and picked up at The Powerhouse exhibit gallery. Powerhouse staff will provide transportation for these campers to and from Animas High School.
SPACE IS LIMITED!!!
Before and after camp care are bundled into one registration. Registration is for the whole week, but families can pick and choose the days that care is needed.
Cost: $75 (Members $69) for all 5 days

RISING 1ST-2ND GRADE CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Want to uncover the magical history of ancient human societies? In small teams, campers will learn how to work together and code a LEGO Robot to follow traces of the past, uncover hidden artifacts, and forgotten stories – complete with moving builds, engineered solutions, and tons of creativity. This camp is suitable for all beginner LEGO innovators, regardless of their participation in the LEGO League program.

This camp is an introduction to space and space travel. Students will go on a “mission” into space where they will learn about our solar system and life in space. This week will culminate in a demonstration for the parents of the crafts they made and of their astronaut “landings” (egg drop).

RISING 3RD-4TH GRADE CAMPS DESCRIPTIONS
Want to uncover the magical history of ancient human societies? In small teams, campers will work together to build and code a LEGO Robot to follow traces of the past, uncover hidden artifacts, and forgotten stories – complete with moving builds, engineered solutions, and tons of creativity. Each day, students will dive into a certain endangered species, learning where it lives, what makes it special, and why it is threatened. At the end of the week, students will explore the importance of biodiversity and what they can do to help!

In partnership with 4 Corners River Sports, this interactive class combines practical river skills with hands-on river science and ecology to help kids understand how rivers work—and how to safely enjoy them.
Participants will learn essential river skills taught by 4CRS instructors, including reading currents, identifying hazards, using proper river safety techniques, and building comfort and confidence in moving water.Each day, campers will experience the river in a new type of river craft, helping them understand how different vessels interact with the flow of the river.
PLEASE NOTE! This camp is will have dropoff/pickup at 4 Corners River Sports + the camp will run from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Registration is through the 4 Corners River Sports Website.

RISING 5TH-8TH GRADE CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

3…2…1..Launch! Join us for all things rockets; history, physics, building plans, and, of course, launches! Campers design and build their own rockets and develop plans for their very own rocket company in this jet-fueled camp.

This camp emphasizes the value of man-to-land relationships while examining real-world survival scenarios. Campers will cultivate their relationship with local ecosystems by exploring environmental management techniques and will immerse themselves in real world survival scenarios. By the end of the week, campers will be capable of handling survival scenarios on their own and will have grown into mindful environmental stewards.

Do you like to spend time outdoors in nature? This camp is for you! In Conservation Trailblazers we will focus on environmental sustainability in hands-on stewardship. This camp will teach you how humans support nature through conservation.

RISING 6TH-8TH GRADE CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Curiosity meets discovery as junior scientists explore the scientific world! Professors from Fort Lewis College will be taking students on a unique journey that transcends our senses in this immersive summer camp for rising 6-8th graders.
Fort Lewis College professors will cover topics in subject areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Geosciences, Anthropology, and Health & Social Sciences.
Cancellation + Refund Policy
We understand that the future is not always certain, and try to keep a flexible refund policy for all of our camp families!
Request date change for a camp more than three weeks prior to the start date – NO ADDITIONAL COSTS
Cancel more than three weeks prior to start date: 85% refund
Cancel within three weeks of the start date: 85% refund ONLY IF THE POWERHOUSE IS ABLE TO FILL THE CAMP SPOT WITH ANOTHER REGISTRATION. If the spot cannot be filled you will receive a 50% refund.
If your child is dismissed from The Powerhouse due to disciplinary issues, no refund will be given.
Please do not register for the same camp topic twice. Camp curriculum will be the same, and we love to keep things fresh and new for all campers.
