Renewable Energy Maker Camp       August 5th-9th    9am-3pm  Age 12-15

Have you ever wanted to build your own solar panel or wind turbine? Do you want to know how they work? During this week, students will spend their mornings learning and discussing the theory behind different sources of renewable energy through hands-on, interactive activities. Afternoons will be spent applying what they’ve learned to design, build, and test their own renewable energy powered experiments in the MakerLab. We will explore what it means to be “energy efficient” and the challenges of going “off the grid”. The week will be concluded by designing their own theoretical community powered solely by renewable energy!
