This fully functional miniature steam engine was fabricated by MakerLab member, Chris Johnson – mostly as a way to familiarize himself with our Tormach 1100 CNC metal milling machine. It was “brought to life” with a simple household pressure cooker. Turns out the 15psi or so generated by the cooker was more than adequate to power the engine.
