DESCRIPTION:Join us either Monday or Thursday mornings throughout the summer to learn about the Power of Plants in our backyard garden beds. Led by our Gallery Manager, Kathleen Rittenhouse, children will learn how to plant and harvest vegetables, explore the multitude of ways we use plants in every day life, and understand the vital role pollination and compost play in taking care of the Earth. There will be lots of crafting, digging, and water play, so come prepared to have fun in the sun and get your hands dirty!\nSchedule: June 1- August 6\nSign up for one class each week, either Monday or Thursday!\nNO CLASS: June 29-July 3, July 20-24\nThis program is available for children 2.5 – 5 years old.\nRegistration is $5/child per class (free for members and SNAP/EBT cardholders).\nIf staying beyond the class, general admission will be charged.
